Solution:

There is a known issue where Multicast traffic may be dropped because of a conflict with Internet Worm Protection.

If you are experiencing this problem, try to create rule for the application that is generating the traffic.

To create a rule for the application that is generating the traffic

  • Start Norton AntiVirus. If Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security, then strt that program.
  • Click Options.
  • If you see a menu, click Norton AntiVirus .
  • In the left pane, click Internet Worm Protection.
  • In the right pane, under "How to customize your settings," click Program Control.
  • Click Add.
  • Browse to th application file (usually a .exe file) for the program that is having the problem. Select the file, and click Open.
  • In the drop-down menu under "What do you want to do?" choose Manually configure Internet Access, and click OK.
  • Click Permit Next.
  • Click Any Computer, and then click Next.
  • Click UDP.
  • At the next three dialog boxes, click Next.
  • Click Finish.

Close all programs and restart the computer. If you still experience the problem, close all programs and restart the computer. After Windows restarts, connect to the Internet. Then wait about ten minutes, and run the software again. If this does not fix the problem, then go on to the next section.
